The Dream is a beautiful ship with lots of things to do but for us, we will be returning to smaller ships with less people such as the Miracle or more than likely try another cruise line. Celebrity will probably be our next cruise.
The issues that I have are that there are just not enough popular facilities for the amount of passengers. More than once we were unable to find a place to sit in the dining area of deck 10 where they serve lunch and dinner. The lines were very long compared to other cruises that we were on.
If you like sitting near the pool, forget it unless you get out early and stake your claim so to speak. There are plenty of lounge chairs but for someone like me who loves the water, just not enough room in this area. The good news is that the 2 pools are larger than the pools we are accustom to on other ships.
Next capacity issue was the comedy shows. They have PG and adult shows and if there are 2 comics, there will be 3 adult shows at night. We were able to see one of them in the middle of the cruise. After that, it was downhill fast. We showed up 15 minutes early to the 9:45 show and it was standing room only and no where else to stand. Since we were given late seating for dinner, we had no choice and could not get there any earlier. We tried to come back 30 minutes early for the 11pm show and had the same problem. We missed quite a few shows because of this. There is a midnight comedian show but since we are early risers we did not even attempt to get in. On the last night of the cruise, we went to the show 1 hour early and actually had to sit in for part of the PG show in order to keep seats for the adult show. Most people stayed there from show to show so there was very little seats available. These shows should be in the large Encore area but they are full with the regular shows.
It just seemed as though you had to get to wherever you were going very, very, extra early in order to be able to participate or get a seat.
