We sailed on the 28th September for 2 weeks. We were a little nervous due to reviews etc. Nothing to worry about once aboard.
Check in was quick and easy. Luggage was at our cabin within half hour. Good size cabin plenty of space.
Food is great at all the restaurants. The Sirens is quiter to get the buffet from. The Orion is lovely to use in an evening, waiter service. Food is well presented and tastes fantastic. portions are big enough and for those who have a bigger appetite then you can always ask for more and they are more than happy to help. But you do get 5 courses !! Did not use The Grill which is extra due to it being in a cut off area in the Sirens, does not feel special or look differant. The Orion is much better.
The entertainment on board is fantastic. The shows in the theatre is outstanding, really proffesional and the staff give it 100% every night. The cruise director Stephen Guy is great and looks after his team and ensures that we have a good time. he keeps you informed of all the entertainment on board throughout the day, but you will also receive the Cruise News in your cabin every night so you can plan what you what do.
Plenty of bars on board catering well for all ages and tastes. You can make the cruise has busy or has relaxed as you want. The captain on board was witty and friendly.
All the staff throughout thats EVERYONE is helpful, pleasant and can not do enough for you. They are constantly cleaning, clearing away and filling your glass!
Yes the ship does need a revamp, very old looking in design and carpets are worn in places, could do with tarting up bathrooms but this did not spoil anything. A couple of blocked toilets but the ladies only! This was just once .
Could not dock at one of the ports due to engine problem, Olbia, just chuffed it was not Rome.
The sea got choppy a couple of nights but due to captain informing us I felt at ease and relaxed about it.
All i can say you will have fun lots of it. We would go back on.
