Embarkation was QUICK! I was surprised after reading some reviews at how fast we boarded the Fantasy. We arrived at the port, dropped off luggage, parked, through the embarkation process and on board with beverage in hand in about an hour.

The ship was clean throughout and doesn't show her age. Our cabin (V32) was nice, our room steward Astika was great. He had an answer for all our questions and room was cleaned in the morning and bed was turned down in the evening. Only one night we couldn't figure out what the towel critter was.

The food was excellent. The service in the dining room left something to be desired though. We chose any time dining, and I think this was the glitch. The folks around us who had assigned dining seemed to get much better service. I'm attributing this to the fact that they would see the same wait staff every night and we only saw the same staff twice and not on consecutive nights. However, this shouldn't be an excuse to provide poor service. Next cruise we will go with assigned dining and see. Read more
