I must agree with an earlier review about belt tightening. We had enjoyed this ship before Carnival bought the entire fleet.

One positive note is their new exec. chef & menus for the dining rooms for lunch and dinner. The menus were very diverse, varied and well done. We enjoyed the quality and nice selection.

The dominant negative was the constant selling and advertising of this & that. Announcements over the PA were way too frequent, promoting everything from bingo to spa specials, and quite annoying.........a carnival atmosphere was created in quiet, beautiful Alaska. Selling in the spa, in the atrium, at the dinner table (wine & water), and at the end of galley tour were just too much. Would you stay at a hotel where they are constantly selling & advertising something? I don't think so.
