Ship Facts: Celebrity Constellation Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Constellation Deck Plans
So,So,Good !!!
Me and the wife were first timers to cruising , so the barcelona tranfers were

a little worring but we neednt have because the 30 euros or so taxi fare covered it and there was plenty avilable, boarding is easy as long as you have checked in online first and its just like an airport .

The Constalation is a great boat ,food is first class and there is always somthing to suit everyone, even my fussy wife!!! , drinks are a little expensive typicially $17 for a glass of wine and a bottle of beck's , service was top draw , our room maid doris waited on us and was couldnt do enough for us ,the ship cruised along at night and was as steady as a rock , the cabin was spotless with the bed a pleasure to sleep in . entertainment was first class and my wife enjoyed and looked foward to eachnights show, the fine dinning in the evening was most enjoyable with the other guests 3 couples we had never met before at the table refreshing and great company and i shall miss

not meeting up and telling tales of our day's adventures. Now on to the shore excutions this is where celebrity could do better ,our first coach trip was NICE and MONACO not bad value but out driver chatted to the tour gide and nearly killed 2 motorcyclists and just missed after a huge swerve that made everyone gasp a pillar on the viaduct in the carpark all because of taking to much!!! ,the tour guides in general all talk much too much just for the sake of talking and to loud as well !!!GENOA was good you can walk off the boat here and walk around but here you need a good map and celebrity could do much

better by providing free local maps ,the ones in there daily bulitin are not good enough and caused me problems onshore ie GETTING LOST !!! LIVORNO is the port to get to FLORENCE as we call it but the italians call it FIRENZE this i didnt know and made my travel journey a bit of a adventure, and dont get on at the first FIRENZE stop because you will be on the wrong side of town !!!trains are very cheap but the notice boards are not good and somtimes very confusing ,

if your not sure ask the italian poeple are very nice and helpful ,CIVITAVECCHIA is the port for ROME and another 1 hour train journey going past PISA on the way (15mins) rome is packed with tourist and im afraid the motorbike and car have won the fight for the streets , crossing is dangerous!! unless you have seen every one stop!!!! taxis are vultures wating for the weak and unsure again the boat could have obtained free tourist maps for us and dished then out to those wanting them ,but the collusium was wonderfull.

NAPLES is great we took the tour up vesuvius and pompei and although it was worth the trip to see the sights this was spoilt by the guide rambling on and taking us to a shell factory for half an hour ?? what for i dont know ,then stopping outside pompei for another three quarters of an hour for a snack ,and as you can guess everytime you let poeple off they comeback late delaying your time in the city ,once there she chats for half an hour outside!!! very frustrating and i wish the directors of the ship took these tours to see what we are getting because its not value for the money , but if your not sure about what you are doing you are in there hands and they know that!!!

on my return to the ship after being out all day and in the bright sun you enter the ship and if your like me 6'4"tall and the scanner that you have to walk through is set at 6'0" you cant see it and whack your head!!! not clever

i was offered no apology !!!

BARCELONA ,here we had a late flight and took the tour Monserrat & airport transfer ,what a waste of money ,again tour guide chatting loudly nonstop (remember we were up at 6am to get off the boat) and she went on and on once at the mountain we stayed for a few hours and was given chior music for another

2 hours comming down and i was relived to get off !!!

all in all out trip was great but the excurtions need much much improvement!!

Greg xx
