What an amazing whirlwind 12-night Mediterranean cruise we had. During our trip, we cruised through two time zones and five countries. Our ports of call were Barcelona, Spain; Nice (Monte Carlo/Monaco), France; Florence, Rome and Taormina (Sicily), Italy; Mykonos, Greece; Ephesus, Turkey; Athens, Greece; and Salerno (Amalfi Coast/Pompei), Italy. Our goals were to take as many wonderful pictures as we could and try the local food and wines/beers of each region.

Overall: We enjoyed Celebrity and have booked another trip for next year to cruise Alaska. The select dining was the way to go because we had many excursions and we never knew when we would be back to the ship. The good part is we never had to wait to get a seat like we were warned. Also, because we cruised in September we had no kids on board. I guess they were all back in school. The food during standard dining on the Century was okay. We had dinner their the first four or five nights and then just starting eating at the buffet. I really enjoyed the sushi at the buffet and my wife loved the spaghetti. The room service and food service on the Century was execllent. The cruise director (Cue) was friendly and kept things exciting. Having a Sky Suite was also nice because we were able to preboard the ship and have priority when tendering into the ports. The cabins were always kept clean for us and overall I thought it was worth the money we spent. We initially planned to take this cruise in June but had to reschedule to September. I am sure glad we did because the weather was much more comfortable. While in Italy they mentioned that they had a major heat wave come through in June.
