This was our 11th cruise and our best yet! My wife and I are late 30's, with no children. This was the eastern Caribbean cruise from Ft. Lauderdale. We stayed in an AquaSpa class balcony and loved it. To us the increased cost was worth it thanks to eating in the Blu.

Embarkation was the fastest we have had. Within 15 minutes we were onboard. The Solstice is a beautiful ship. The dEcor of the ship was noticed immediately upon boarding. The ship still looks brand new, and we loved the elegant feel to the ship. As many other reviews, we agree that the layout of the ship is wonderful. Even though the ship was full, other than the boarding day buffet area, and once before the headliner show, the ship never felt more than half full. Also love the design to get from the dining area to the shows without having to walk through the casino.

As mentioned, we ate at the Blu for dinner each night, and the food was exceptional. The appetizer courses were outstanding, with the hot soups excelling. All in all I feel the dinner in the main dining areas would have been equivalent, but the quieter more intimate setting in the Blu was so enjoyed.
