Embark/Debark was great, Baltimore has a good thing going. The weather was not as cooperative as we'd have liked. The crew is excellent (room stewards, dining staff as always). Food was just average and that's being honest. Buffet lines are confusing and too spread out; however aisles are so narrow crew couldn't get through to keep things filled. Juice machines most always broken. Dress code was not enforced in the dining room on any night and that's a downer for us - it's part of what we enjoy.

The ship is showing her age in many ways. Despite the consistent rainy pattern while sailing, the retractable roof over one pool was never closed - could have helped. Camp Carnival was not an option since it's in the front and was sustaining a great deal of movement, kids were getting sick so wouldn't go back (don't blame them). The ship has a terrible shudder that can be felt everywhere, seems likely they have major equipment issues. Time for this one to take a break.

Overall we enjoyed the cruise but very likely won't sail Carnival again any time soon and in the future definitely not this ship.

Cabin Review

Cabin 11

Cat 11 suite 8271 - whirlpool tub is awesome! The only trouble is that one of the shower doors is fixed and it happens to be the one by the controls; therefore, you have to be IN the shower to turn it on. Location of cabin is one deck below the buffets and 5 decks directly above the dining room - great location.
