Ship Facts: MSC Poesia Review (by Cruise Critic!) | MSC Poesia Deck Plans
Fall getaway on the MSC Poesia
First off this was our first time on MSC and yes I will cruise on MSC again. Been cruising since 2000 on various lines. My thoughts on the overall cruise was very good with some comments. {NOTE: SOMEONE TOOK MY CRUISECRITIC SIGN OFF MY DOOR AFTER DAY 3.THAT IRKED ME}

1} overall appearance excellent 2} on board entertainment [ shows : good ] music : very good 3} on board activities need improvement, were very limited. 4} food in dinning room was good, buffets were well more variety is needed, Asian section would be good, besides sushi specialty restaurant [ very good ], a salad bar were salads are made for you as you move around like Royal Carib has and is a big hit]deserts were nothing special for an Italian cruise line, besides the cheese cake the rest were not too good.Fruit was always fresh and good. A coffee bar for free coffee besides going to the 13th floor. There is no way I should order regular coffee and need to pay for it. 5} staff excellent 6] communications needs a lot of improvement. First off calling 99 extension almost impossible to have someone answer. On port days if your tour say was at 2 pm you should be told that if you want to leave the ship for saying some local shopping you can and can meet the bus outside at the time required. This was huge in Quebec where local shopping was right there but people were not aware of it and waited hours for a tour when they could have left the ship

7] cabins: nice size, but in mine the hand dispenser did not work on the sink and my room guy left soap when I mentioned it. Would have thought he would have called maintenance. i did call maintenance for a smell in the bathroom and they did respond. 8] they really need to do something with the TV selections most of the time they were out, MSC needs to buy into the local satellite area to provide better service 9] I know this is an Italian line but seriously all day 5 languages over the loud speaker gets too much after a while. Anyway I can push 1 for English ? 10] First tour in Sydney had major issues with the bus's coming late and backing things up, people were getting real antsy. 11] photos; i loved that they did not hound you for pictures all day and night, that was a huge plus. Really need to do something about this $20.00 a picture [ all lines included ] And yes I did spend over $100.00 for pictures. 12] shops; need huge improvement on them, variety was terrible. 13] restrooms: spent a lot of time looking for them, markings to restrooms need to be posted better..but very clean

I think I covered it all. on a scale of 5 I am giving it a 3.75
