First, some pertinent details about who we are, where we have been, and what we are comparing the Fantasy to.

My husband and I are in our mid-30's and have no children. We have sailed at concierge level on NCL Jade, HAL Westerdam, and did an inside on the Disney Wonder. In fact, the first time we ever sailed was on the Disney Wonder to the Bahamas for our honeymoon. We have been to Alaska, Northern Europe, and the Western and Eastern Mediterranean.

This cruise we traveled with a group of friends and they were all booked with window rooms, we elected for the balcony because we were traveling with a 3rd adult in our room and needed the extra space. I also had reservations about crowds and the party atmosphere that I had read about on the boards and felt that a Grand Suite with a large, private balcony would provide me with some private outside space.
