No matter what cons we read about the Caribbean Princess, we decided we wanted to go on the New England/Canada cruise anyway. We have traveled 4 other times on Princess (Island Princess, Grand Princess, Sun Princess and Coral Princess), twice on Carnival and once on Disney. We have always loved the Princess cruises (Alaska, Panama Canal (15 nights) and Caribbean). We live within 45 minutes of the port and upon arrival, our luggage was taken and we were in our cabin within 15 minutes and off to eat at the Horizon Court. We enjoyed everything: the shows (especially the comedians and the hypnotist), food, and our cabin. Not one complaint about our cabin. Our servers, whether in the dining room for the early seating or in the Horizon Court, were great. Always happy and smiling. Our room steward, Wilfred, was fabulous and did whatever he could to make us happy. All ports were fantastic. The only con: the last day we hit a storm at sea. Never before have we experienced such a storm on our cruises. We have been loyal to Princess and will continue to do so. Every tour we took was great; Newport, Boston (what a beautiful city), Bar Harbor (loved the lobster lunch and Acadia State Park), St. John and Halifax. Disembarkation was smooth but we were the last off as we were being picked up by someone; not unusual; just like our other cruises. I would say everything on the ship ran smooth. I would do this cruise again.
We kept hearing how bad the beds were: our beds were great. We slept like babies. We had a balcony that had no covering. The only day it was a problem was the day it rained but I would do the same cabin again. We heard about the long wait for elevators; well, it was no different than on any other cruise.
