Here is my feedback for the Epic...We are still on board and sailing to Nassau today.

Embarkation - We arrived at the terminal about 10:30am, there really wasn't a line at all, so we moved right in and breezed through security. We filled out our form, and then we were off to check in and get our cards. This was a smooth process and then we went upstairs to wait to get onboard. They do this well as it is by floor number - when you arrive you go into your section..A..B or C. We waited until about 11:40 and then they dismissed us to the photographer by rows, and then onto the ship. Here is my tip...go eat FIRST!! This is the only day that you will have everyone at the same time eating and vying for table space. Eat a light lunch or snack and then go explore the ship. This will save you the trouble of walking around the buffet just looking to sit down. Rooms were ready about 1:55pm and then everyone scoots to their rooms to check them out. Rooms - They are well furnished, but yes they are small. There is a TON of storage so everything can get put away. About 20 hangers in the closets, so no need to bring any. Storage under the couch, and in every nook and cranny. We knew about the shower/toilet/sink situation, so we had no problems with it. We are in a balcony room (10317 - Back of ship....looking out over the back of the boat). It is nice and no complaints, it is a cruise ship and not a hotel so make the most of it. Plug-ins are under the coffee maker, and plenty of lights. The touch phones are a nice feature and we used them often. Food - Overall the quality of food is good. We had booked Moderno, Cagney's, Circ and La Cucina (all specialty) We NEVER ate at the buffet for dinner, just light lunches and breakfast. The buffet is more like banquet food, it is good overall but nothing spectacular. Moderno was 3.5 out of 5 for us. The meat ranged from soft and tender, to shoe leather at times. Some was simply overcooked. Cagney's has always been good, and we loved it. La Cucina was a bit to traditional for my taste, but I am picky. It was okay for me. Entertainment - We have seen many shows and there all fairly good so here is my breakdown. Blue Man Group was a good show, entertaining and funny and interactive. Legends for us was a bust...The Elvis was god, but Madonna and Tina Turner left much to be desired (sound and looks). Howl at the Moon (dueling pianos) is not to be missed, these guys know about 500 songs, singing, playing piano and drums....awesome time every night. Make a request put a little love on it (bring some small bills and put them on your request to get played right away) or simply buy Tommy a shot of Yeager. We saw the magician early in the week in the Spiegel tent and it was good. Saw him again at his main show in the theater and guess what....exact same show...we left during as we did not find it funny twice.

Overall the ship is awesome, big and beautiful. The slides are fun (purple is slow and tame, toilet bowl is a bit of a letdown, as it is slow and over right away, green is fast and fun) We had maybe a 5 minute wait at the longest any day at any time, so no problems there. Casino is large and a good selection. Staff- They are mostly friendly and will help you in any way. We got to know the cruise director Silas and one of his team Kat at a few of the game shows. They have many themed nights as well for dance parties. The "bar drinks" servers will always be around and a simple no or shake of the head and they would leave, but know there are many of them, so you may get asked more than you like at times. Extras - We did a couple of dinner shows and I wanted to review those as well. We did the murder mystery, and this is an improv show in the Spiegel tent. They use the audience suggestions to complete a small show while you eat. It was a good venue. We also did the Circ show. This was filled with corny jokes, weird costumes and great acts. It was well worth the price and most of the comedy is adult oriented. The food was good and the show very entertaining. Again well worth it. We went into the Ice Bar, and though it is a neat experience, it is very small. There are a couple of ice benches, a couple of ice sculptures and the block ice bar, and that is all. I would not do it again. 20 per person and you do get two drinks included. We have read other reviews and wanted to make sure to paint an accurate portrait. There are a TON of lounge chairs on this boat. We never had any problems finding two open chairs at anytime during the day. Getting off the ship at the ports was also very easy and quick. This has been a good cruise and we enjoyed it. I would go back on this ship again in the future. We have more day for our EPIC adventure!!
