Embarkation: We (there were 6 of us) arrived at the cruise terminal around 12:30. We took dial 7 car service from LGA and had a short stop at The World Trade Center. We were on the Lido deck and that line was short and moved very quickly. Some of the lines for the other decks were MUCH longer. We went to the Red Sail for lunch but it was hard finding a table for (6). We ended up on the top lido deck near the fish and chips station. There was plenty of room there and we got a great table to look out at the harbor. The fish and chips were excellent. By the time we finished it was 1:30 and we went to our rooms to drop off carry-ons. Our luggage did not arrive until close to dinner time, whcih for us was 6PM.

Dining room: We had wonderful wait staff, headed by Lee. They were very efficient and friendly. We enjoyed the singing and dancing by the wait staff, but felt sorry for them. They are so busy and to have to stop and do that seemed stressful. But they always performed with a big smile. We did tip extra to them. I thought that the food was very good and the presentation beautiful and creative. Food is a very subjective thing, so better to let everyone decide for themselves. I think my favorite was the Chateaubriand. My favorites for desert were 1) Chocolate Melting Cake, Raisin, fig spice cake with rum raisin ice cream.

Cabin: The cabin was in the very front of the ship near the secret deck. Our cabin had a window that looked onto that deck. We have always had a balcony room but this was a nice alternative. It was good to get the light from the window and there seldom was anyone on the deck. The deck was nice to go out onto for sail away and when in port. When we were out to sea, it was much too windy. In this cabin you really could feel the motion of the ship. We had one night on our way to Halifax and one night after that the seas were rough and it was hard to sleep because of the shuddering and noise from the ship hitting the waves. also out on the deck were some metal boxes that had door that rattled. Other than that, most of the nights were pretty smooth and we had no trouble sleeping. We did take bonine and some ginger a few days but that was all. We were never sea sick. Entertainment: We went to all the shows except the Legends. Justin Illusion is excellent and the Carnival singers and dancers are talented and fun to watch. Enjoyed all of the costumes. The piano bar was sad. Bruce was a very good pianist but definitely not a singer or entertainer. It could have been a fun spot but it was not. It was mostly empty. Went to the comedy club one night PG. It was mildy funny but a short show. The duo "Play That" was excellent!!! We enjoyed them whenever they played. They had great voices,a good range of music and were very entertaining. They were able to entertain the crowd and get many up to dance ( including us) The lobby was always full when they played and everyone lined the stairs and balconies on other floors to listen. Debarkation:We had early flt so stopped at desk and got a (2) tag and were off by 9:20. We waited in the Amber Palace after Leaving cabin by 8:30 as required.
