Boarding was easy at about 11:am took about 45minutes, later in the day 2:30 there was almost no line.
Departure from New York is wonderful, seeing the tip of manhattan and the Statue of Liverty then just clearing the Veranzano Narrow Bridge. Seemed like we cleared it by about 20 feet.
We went back to interior cabin for this trip, to save a little and it was fine. since our last Princess criuse two years ago we had traveled on Azmara, and Celebrity, so both smaller shipes and hugh ones.
Room: It was fine, clean nicely laid out, with n more space than a similar room on the Dawn Princess, wwith a cupboard between sleeping area and washroom. New flat panel TV. Steward named Harold was good. The major problem we had with the room was the noise from above. The Riviera deck is below the dining/kitchen area and during the night they clean the kitchen and wheel heavy carts around and the noise comes throught the ceiling. We spoke to another customer on our floor and she had the same complaint. she had spoken to Customer Service each day but it did not change.
Food: Fine, usual stuff, terrible bread choices, tried the steak restaurent, it was worth the $25 for me but my wife wa unimpressed as her food was underdone. The ambience was quiet and pleasent. Staff were attentive
Disembarkation We chose the express option to exit with our bags. It was chaos, The staff were badly disorganized. They had passengers enter and exit thru same doorway, should ahave been enter doorway one and exit doorway two. No space assigned for the different groups, and no cross aisles. Whe finally told to exit thru the far door there was not way to get there. Spoke with the woman incharge to no avail. Really needs improvement !!!!
