First Time Cruisers for 25th Wedding Anniversary

Sail Date: August 2010
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We did back to back cruising on 21st august 2010 western caribbean, then eastern but unfortunately hurricane earl was due to hit St Thomas so we re visited Costa Maya and Cozumel. A little disappointed but we would rather be safe than travel in bad weather. We were celebrating our silver wedding and can only praise the whole ship and service as fabulous.

We had late sitting for dining 8.30pm Opus dining room fab waiters were really great. we ate out in chops grille, giovannis, seafoodshack, johnny rockets and chefs table, all food was fab we particularly loved the chefs table.

The ship was full both weeks but at no time did we feel it was overcrowded. Central Park was our favourite place and we are wine lovers so visited Vintages on more than one occasion. Managed to see all the shows over the two weeks Oasis of Dreams was our favourite with Hairspray a close second.

We were very impressed at how quickly the check in process was and on change over day we More disembarked and visited fort lauderdale for the day then re joined the ship which went very quickly an smoothly.

Our Steward Henry was very helpful and cheerful he did a great job looking after us so well and we loved all the work he put into the animal towels.

We would definitely cruise again on oasis and hope to visit the eastern Caribbean. Less

Cabin review: Oasis of the Seas Junior Suite Deck 6 12632

Very spacious, great balcony, hallway noisy at times children running back and forth. Felt balcony could have done with reclining chairs or stool so you could relax a bit better or even sunbathe.

Port and Shore Excursions

Pre booked Uvero Boat Blast and snorkeling excellent, coach took us to Jungle Beach which was lovely then went out on boat blast not much time when we returned to beach to relax and sunbathe as coach came to pick us up at 3.30pm

Pre Booked Underwater Walking and pearl farm underwater walking was great very good value for money we were a bit disappointed in pearl farm but overall had a fab day.

Labadee in Haiti- pre booked jet skis fab and well worth the money we got an hour off great fun and went far out into the ocean. Had pre booked floating beach mats we were disappointed in these as sea was really rocky and we couldn't just walk out and swim we had to wear our flip flops in the water and mats just floated toward the rocks all the time.
