If one wants to find problems on a cruise, you can always do so, but I can say without a doubt, at this point in time you will never find a finer ship than the OASIS of the Seas. It is an engineering marvel.
But with 6000 guests, how can the service be good, and you do not feel crowed. I am not sure how they did this, but that is what we experienced. Embarkation was a dream at about 12:30 PM. I have never walked up to the check in window, and within 5 minutes walked away with cruise card in hand, directly onto the ship. No lines, no crowds
We were on Deck 6 Aft, starboard, and Mark our Cabin steward was outstanding. Always upbeat and with a smile, and the room was always well attended. The balcony Cabin was immaculate, and more than enough space for two. Also for the first time on a cruise we never had dinner in the main dining room. We ate in the Park Café, Giovanni’s Table, 150 Central Park Ave, and Izumi(Twice). We also had breakfast a couple of times in the Windjammer, and never had problem finding a place to eat, sometimes with a little preference. In all cases the food was top notch, and the service impeccable. 150 Park Ave was a real treat, definitely upscale with a fixed gourmet 5 course meal. Allow time for your dinner, and enjoy dining in what competes with the finest restaurants on the mainland.
We found the Beach Pool most appealing; a little crowded on sea days, but a unique design that allows the water to lap over the sides of the pool into the lounge area. Very cool
Also impressive was the sports venue. The zip line was very unique, and my wife can check that off of her bucket list.
Finally disembarkation was amazing. We left our cabin at 8:30 AM, and walked right off of the ship. Found our bags within 5 minutes in a huge but well marked warehouse. Virtually no waiting except 5 minutes to clear U.S. Customs. I won’t take time to talk about the shows and the Vitality Spa, except to say “First Class”
All in all a great cruise on a great ship with great service and great food!!!!
