First let me say that I love Carnival Cruise Lines and cruise with them every chance I get. This time I talked a friend of mine in taking his first cruise. I bragged it up and down and how Carnival was the leader of the industry. We boarded the ship out of Charleston for a 7 day/night cruise to the Bahamas and Grand Turk on 9/11. The whole Embarkation process in Charleston was a breeze. It was so easy and we were on the ship in just minutes. But there it starting going down hill. Apparently this ship had went through a multi-million dollar remodel recently but you couldn't tell except in the gym and the bathrooms. Our cabin was dirty and dated and there were still clothes under the bed from the last cruise. With Carnival, they always have crew members cleaning, wiping and polishing 24/7. You didn't see that at all here. But my biggest disappointment was the food and buffets. Carnival usually has a spread to write home about, and I usually do. But this cruise I think they left their creativity at home. It was basically the same food over and over night after night just tossed around a little to look different and called something different. The Buffets were half the size and limited hours. You even had to go find a crew member so he can serve you a slice of cold nasty pizza from the 24 hour Pizzeria. I WAS...let me repeat myself. I WAS impressed with room service though. They did an awesome job! But the buffets were a thumbs down. No ICE Carvings, no Chocolate fantasy night no elegance at all. In conclusion, I feel since the Fantasy is the oldest ship in the fleet and with the new "Dream" coming out next year, I feel Carnival has neglected this ship and kicked it aside. Maybe it's time to put the ol' girl out pasture. Clearly, Carnival and the crew have lost their sense of pride with this ship. Don't worry, I still love Carnival and will still cruise with them but this cruise did not live up to my expectations at all. I found myself repeating to my friend, I'm sorry not all ships and cruises are like this.

Cabin 6E

Location of our cabin (E175) was awesome. Right near the elevators but you did not hear them. The elevators took you right up to the food! Didn't feel any rocking and wasn't noisy but it was dirty and dated.
