My husband asked me

Sail Date: September 2010
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami

It took a few minutes to come up with an answer. Embarkation was easy and quick. Freestyle dining was new and interesting. The shows, Howl at the Moon, Cirque, Blue Man Group and Second City were good. The food was on the whole also very good. The shore excursions, America's Cup, St. Maarten and Helmet Diving in St Thomas were good. And that covers what I liked.

The cabins were disappointingly small! Although storage space was remarkable that is all that was remarkable. Two people had a hard time passing each other at the end of the bed, and most times one waited for the other to pass before proceeding. The beds were short, comfortable, but short. There wasn't really anywhere you could sit and apply make-up and the lighting was poor so it was difficult to see if you did try to sit on the stool in front of the mirror. The couch was too big for the room and actually totally unnecessary. A table and chair would have been much more practical. However, they are trying to fill More those rooms, ergo the couch.

Although the shower, toilet and sink weren't a big problem, but the end of 7 days that area was beginning to smell a little ripe.

This ship although large, felt very small. It was crowded, there was no place quiet to sit and read, or just watch people. There was more smoking on this ship that on any other we have been on, so you were often assailed with cigarette smoke. Not just in the Casino, but by the pools. Not good.

There were no decks for just strolling and looking at the ocean, just on the 15th floor, which with 3 at sea days was extremely crowded. We did spend a fair amount of time at Spice H2O, adults only, but again a pool and bar area, not what we are used to.

Finally, this trip was a year in the making. Thirteen of us went and with few exceptions we agreed we would not do this ship again. Our final statements far exceeded any other statements for our other seven cruises and this ship was not what we had hoped. So back to Princess, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean (not the Oasis, too big) and Holland America, sorry Epic. Less
