This Alaskan cruise was a 30th wedding anniversary trip for my husband and myself. Our small penthouse room was just perfect. The bed was the best part of the room...soft and warm and so cozy on those rainy nights. The staff was so very friendly and they really made our trip. Alaska is a sight to behold! We loved all of the ports and enjoyed just wandering around the little towns. We were very lucky that the sun came out as soon as we pulled into the ports...did have some rain during the nights. Our cabin, 9500, was at the very front of the ship and had a huge balcony. We will be returning on a repeat trip soon, but this time with our 16 year old son and we will try and reserve the same cabin as it was just amazing. The view from our balcony was worth every dime we spent on this cruise...we could see it all!!! The food was very good, but we only ate at the buffet and the specialty restaurants. Since we were in a suite, we were able to eat our breakfast and lunch at Cagneys, and that is exactly what we did every day. Delicious! Le Bistro was our favorite as the filet of beef and creme brulee was to die for. The casino was pretty tight but we did see a couple of small wins around us. We never made it to a single show but we did enjoy the onboard shopping and a fun art auction! Ship photographers were everywhere, and we ended up spending a pretty penny for our pictures. The photo place also has personalized scrapbook items for NCL...we had to have those goodies, too. We loved the Pearl and would highly recommend her to you!!!
