Our Running Earl!
We sailed FOS on August 29th. Weather changed our course from EC to WC. I believe the captain did the right thing and worked very hard at keeping us safe and providing us with a good vacation. Our Concierge Amit was exceptional! He made a good cruise great, he is an asset to RCI, we wanted for nothing............ Our suite was beautiful and clean and the double balcony was exceptional. NO disappointments. We did notice a kind of sewer smell on the ship in the beginning, it seemed to dissipate. Johnny Rockets food was less than good, a bit disappointing, won't do it again. Last year it was exceptional, don't know what happened.
All of the shows were great! Very fine entertainment. Bar service on the suite deck was non-existent. That was a let down.
We loved all of our ports minus Cozumel. We went there last year on LOS and liked it. This year NOT so much. We went to Chankanaub beach. What a rip off and tourist trap. The workers took delight in herding the tourists More and yes even giving them wrong information. I witnessed this first hand and straightened it out. It was dirty and one employee took an attitude because I did not speak espanol fluidly. He was rude..I was trying........Do NOT waste your time and money. Last year we were at Nachi Cocum and it was nice. So steer clear!
Cayman as always is the best. Nice people, great excursions and clean. NO worries there!
We had fun, probably would not go on Freedom again, it looks like it needs a sprucing up. But we will definatly cruise with RCI as they are the best! Less
