I think some of the people who gave this ship poor reviews were expecting it to be something it is not. This is an older ship, it's smaller than than the cruise ships you'll find on Norwegian, Carnival or Royal Caribbean, and it offers a limited itinerary. But it isn't meant to be compared to a week-long Caribbean cruise. This is a two-day cruise that provides just enough activity and variety for two days. But what they do, they do very well. We had a wonderful time, and will absolutely return.

I mentioned that this was an older ship. Yet you can tell that cleanliness and maintenance are a priority because everywhere you go there is always someone cleaning, sweeping, polishing, etc. We booked a suite which was spacious and well-appointed. There was ample closet and storage space, the bed was comfortable there was a sofa, two chairs, a table, a desk, a mini bar, and a flat screen TV. The bathroom was amply sized, the water pressure was good in the shower and there was plenty of hot water. There are no balconies on this boat, but our suite was adjacent to an outside deck which proved to be a very quiet place to sit outside and enjoy the tranquility of the ocean.

While this was an older and smaller ship than the "name brand" cruise lines, I really liked the top deck much better than the NCL ship I cruised on last year. The pool was larger and appeared cleaner to me, the hot tubs weren't filled with people, and there were plenty of padded lounge chairs and sun beds to relax in. There was a lot of activity by the pool because the DJ is located just above the pool and the buffet and tiki bars are in the same vicinity. But there were also quiet areas on the top deck to relax in a lounge chair and just watch the ocean. There is also an ice cream parlor, a shuffleboard court and the kids water park on the top deck. Three floors below (on Deck 6, behind the Ocean Breezes Lounge) there is also a beautiful aft deck with tables and lounge chairs where you can relax and enjoy the view.

Cabin Review

Cabin 3

Great cabin in a great location! This cabin is larger than the others in its category (3). It is located at the end of the hallway near the center elevators and staircase, which makes it easy to navigate around the ship. I also liked that it was right next to the door leading to the outer deck. No issues with noise.
