ok, I'm calling this the "inside scoop" since I learned a lot from the ship crew. I traveled as a single woman with one of my girlfriends. It was my 4th cruise. The last time my friend had been on a Carnival cruise, she married a bar waiter she met on the ship. We befriended many people on the ship. Lots of blatant hedonism going on with men constantly hitting on women - so good if you want that, annoying if you are just on the cruise for personal time and to relax.

Definitely definitely a party ship and party cruise line. Unfortunately, Carnival attracts mostly families and few young single men, so our ship had a good amount of really nice and attractive women with slim pickings among the available men. So lots of mis-matched couples at the end of the cruise.
