The big "misses" * Pool is ridiculously small. Really a joke for the number of people, especially when compared to other ships. * The food in the dining rooms is average and sloooooow. The buffets had the same quality food but at least they did not take 2-3 hours. * The private island needs convenient and accessible water. NCL positions bars for beer and soda up-front, but if you need water you need to go to the food pavilion (and around back at that). It is hot, and they should be encouraging water consumption. A lady on the long line for the launch back to the ship fainted from the heat. I blame this on lack of overhead coverage and lack of accessible water. * Bad process for notifying when excursion canceled. Rather than phone the room, do an overhead, or knock on the door, all they did was slap a note on the door advising the excursion was canceled and to come down to the excursion desk. This was done 1 hour before our arrival. So we were in the room getting ready to go, and had no idea that the note was stuck outside the door! Same thing happened to others in our party. Then we needed to wait on the line for the excursion desk to re-book. After all that, they gave some people a discount for their troubles (20%) and others didn't -- teaching us that the squeaky wheel gets the oil. * The kids camp was seen as juvenile and boring by the older kids (6+) -- maybe because this was a very busy kid ship (900 kids) but they just could not handle all the kids and keep them engaged.

Unfortunately they did a lousy job notifying that the behind-the-scenes tour was being canceled, sticking a note outside the door (but not knocking or calling when we were waiting in the room to go)!
