so what does A.A.A mean, well everyone who has cruised with Azamara should have guessed that it"s absolutely amazing Azamara!! we cruised last july on the Quest and thought it was fantastic and thought it would be the same this year but it was even better,it was unbelievable. So a huge thank you to all the staff on the ship from Captain Carl Smith right down to all the staff who work behind the scenes who you never see but made our cruise so enjoyable.Special thanks to Farieda,Le Club Voyage Hostess, who was great fun and made our holiday even more special(she knows what i mean). The loyalty programme on the ship is excellent. Louise at guest relations desk, very pleasant and helpful and who is also Scottish!!Russ the Cruise Director who does a great job and never forgets your name, also all his activities staff Alan,Craig, and who could forget Marcio(DJ)in the Looking Glass Lounge, who put so much effort into making sure we all enjoyed ourselves, even had us Oldies up dancing to Lady Gaga and The Black Eyed Peas!Rudi the head of Food and Beverages, what a charmer he is and a great story teller.Alan and Jacqui(great sense of humour)in the Casino, the list could go on and on,the staff are what makes the ship so special. The food in the Discoveries Restuarant this year was excellent, we ate there every evening, this was the first cruise with the new menus, they have really improved the selections, presentation and quality. Our service by Paul and Setyo was so good we asked for his section every night. Our cabin was great, plenty room, kept well by Malik and his assistant Gulfi, who were very pleasant and helpful. Our cruise critics party on the first night allowed us to meet all the people we had been chatting to on the roll call early on, this was really good and we got to know them really well during the cruise and hope to keep in touch and maybe cruise together again in the future. We did wonder if the increase in the price of the cruise was justified, but we feel it is.Because you now don"t pay for speciality coffee.sodas, bottled water, wine etc,if you don"t drink cocktails etc then you could have very little to pay on board on your sea pass ,our account was halve of what we paid last year due to the new policy. Also going on and off the ship the security staff were always pleasant and welcoming on your return. Will I cruise with Azamara again YES YES YES!!! Ports of call were Santorini,Kushidashi,Zante,Itea,Corfu,Bari,Split,Ravenna,Koper, and Venice overnight. Corfu we really enjoyed,Zante town I would take a trip next time if we went back,Bari,we did an excursion to see the truli houses very good also.Itea for Delphi excellent, but the guide was a bit intense too much theory.Venice overnight was really good.Ravenna we went to San Marino, excellent too.
