This was my wife and I first cruise. We are close to 50 years old, we have traveled a lot, but never a Cruise. We flew into Tampa one day early to spend time with family. We arrived at the port of Tampa around 12 noon.Tampa port was nice to leave from. Getting on the ship was a little crazy, long lines, computor problems. We had lunch, and checked our rooms, the rooms were clean,a/c worked , hot water was good.Being this was our first Cruise we were happy with our room, the bathroom was ok, no problems, it had a safe, closet space. The ship is a older ship, but they said it was updated about 10 years ago.The lobby was nice, the ship looked clean. We stayed near the main pool by the stage. They had a lot of bar areas, the pool deck we stayed at was #9.We walked around the ship, it was old but was clean. The hot tub area was nice, but it had young kids in the hot tub for the days we were their.Up a level there is a slide, and a kids pool. The shopping area was nice, the Casino area had a nice bar.Over all the ship looked in good shape. We had Dinner at the Dinning room sometimes the food was real good, sometimes just o.k. We were on the first level by the doors to the kitchen. Our staf was real good, her name was Sue.The drink service at the Dinning room was not good, very hard to get service..The entertainment was poor, not supervisored at all. We mostly stayed at the rear bar area and the Casino bar, we seemed to get better service. One of the Comic shows was good, the bingo games were fine,The day at sea we had the hairy chest contest, there was a DJ playing music, and a live two person band at the pool. Most of the service at the main pool was slow, the drinks were not great. The beer was cold, but try to get a soda on your soda card, you had to go and get it yourself. We found ourselfs going to the bar and getting our own drinks. We did have a problem with the drink service, we called the manager, he did nothing in return. The port areas--Cayman--Nice port area, good shopping, busy area, safe. Went to seven mile beach, we took a van service, 5.00 a person one way.Had a great time. COZUMEl--Nice port area, nice bar area, nice shopping, safe area. Went to Mr. Sanchez beach and bar, had a great time, Van service 5.00 a person ROATAN-Nice new port area, nice shopping, private beach you can walk too, had a great time -BELIZE-Not a bad place, but not good. Shopping ok, bar area ok, do a excurrsion at this stop .Leaving the ship was easy, they picked up your luggage the night before, you wait for your floor to be called you walk off the ship, get your luggage and off to the bus.Summary--go to the steak house worth the 30.00. At the dinning room drink iced tea, the drink service is slow, watch where you go to get a drink, some of the bars are not good. When you drink have beer or wine, stay away from the drink of the day.The beverage system is not great, we asked if they water down the drinks we got no answer, watch how they make the drinks. We all of us, felt that the economy is hurting the ship industry, they cut back on a lot of food and drinks and service.
