So, we decided to take a cruise with our two children - our son who is 10 and our daughter who is 8. This was our first time on Carnival after sailing three times previously with RCCL.

There were definitely some positives and I will list them first, then the negatives and then a comparison of cruise lines (between Carnival and RCCL). I'll also make some comments about the Ports of Call. Remember, these are obviously my opinions and I urge everyone to do their own due diligence.

Positives -

-DO NOT book stateroom 8175. These couple rooms are right below the dance floor on the Lido Deck and on four nightly occasions, we heard the Cha-Cha-Slide ALL NIGHT LONG above us until 1am. Every morning we were awakened by the sliding of chairs at 6am on the deck above us by the morning cleaning crew.
