Well, this was our second trip on Norwegian, second cruise ever! We are not cruise aficionados...........
We were comparing the Epic to the Jewel - Jewel was better.
We were in a balcony stateroom. Stupid bathroom arrangement, annoying sink and bathroom intrusion into room, Loud Toilet!!! Oddly short bed. Otherwise the cabin was fine. We were facing the rear (back of the ship), which is what we like. Susan did not like the limited TV channel array.
Enjoyed the entertainment. Couldn't go to Cirque because fully booked. Blue Man Group was good, so was Legends in Concert. Dysfunctional guitar player + violinist? Good Guitar player/singer in the lounge.
Casino was sprawly with tentacles all over, but was fair and pretty. I'm a craps player and things were just fine. There were some weird "whales" darting in and out, but what the hey?
The restaurant were good - enjoyed the main venues, and the Italian and Brazilian restaurants.
No peaceful areas - no library - no quiet bars.
Lots of kids (but it was summer, after all).
We enjoyed the ports - St Maarten, St Thomas, Nassau. Good shopping in St Thomas!
Getting on and off was excellent - we had a good time overall!
