I am going to try and write this review since the cruise is still very fresh in my mind. I just got off the Jewel this morning and overall, we had a wonderful time. I will address both the positives and negatives to be fair.

Embarkation: Overall, it wasn't too bad. We had a shuttle service from Philly to Manhattan and once we got to the pier, it was maybe a 1/2 hour wait to get on the ship. We got to the pier around noon. The line looks longer than it really is. We were also latitudes so that did help a bit. But overall, the whole process was very smooth.

Room: We had an aft balcony on the 10th floor. It was small!!!!! We were traveling with our 1 year old DD and the pack'n play the ship provided took up a good chunk of open space. We had an adjoining room with my parents and that made things a lot easier. We were able to open the partition to our balcony and that gave us a lot more space. Our room steward was very good. However, one thing I was surprised about is that we didn't get a towel animal every night. I think we got two throughout the whole cruise. But he was very attentive and kept our room clean.
