First just want to thank everyone on this board for all their help. It made this the most organized and relaxed vacation. 7 day Alaska on Holland America Zuiederdam. Stayed the night before in Vancouver at the Hyatt. Got good price from Hotwire. Took a cab to the port. Once there took about 50 minutes from start til we got on board. Lots of lines, but went very smooth. Everyone was very nice. Got into our cabin about 2:00, bags were waiting along with our stewards, who were wonderful the entire trip. Cabin was great size and very clean! Very happy with the balcony and used it a lot. Food was good some nights, better than others, but was always plentiful. Used room service every morning. That was so convenient. The nature lecturer was very interesting and seemed knowledgeable. The night time shows were very good. The singers and dancers really seemed to enjoy their job and were really very talented. The magician and comedian were also very entertaining. We knew we were on a cruise ship and not at some Broadway show, but enjoyed everything we went to. My only complaint is every time you turn around someone is trying to sell you something. Even on TV, the few stations they had, at least 2 or 3 were selling something. The shops on board were always having raffles and lectures etc. But we still window shopped and didn't let anyone pressure us. This was by far the nicest vacation. Everyone on that ship went above and beyond their job. And again, having been on this board for the last couple months, made all the difference. I knew what to look for and it made this the best. So, I thank everyone again for all your help. I hope I helped someone with this review.
