I would suggest that you get to the ship at approximately 11:30 AM as you will board @ 12PM. If you can pack lightly and keep your luggage with you until the rooms open which should be @ 2PM. If you check in your luggage you may not get it until 5PM. If you have your suitcase with you, you can enjoy the pool and hotubs before the mad rush begins. In Freeport, do some light shopping, the people are very nice and do not give you the hard sell. Avoid the excursions as they are a waist of time...shop for a couple of hours then enjoy the ship. You will have the entire place to yourself. I would recommend the day excursion to Atlantis...worth the price. The slides, casino, pools and aquarium are great and it is an inexpensive way to enjoy Atlantis. The only other excursion is Great Stirup...just get there early so you can get a choice spot on the private island and rent the Clam Shell Longes as the sun and heat are intense. Also...bring your own snorkel equip so you can save money. The Casio on the NCL is great, the food is good, the service is excellent. But be warned! Do not attend the Park West Art Auction. The prices for "art" are extremely inflated, there are many hidden fees as well as a strong pressure to buy, even if you change your mind. These are con artists dressed in suits and ties. Also...do not buy any of the jewlery on board...also overpriced. I am not sure just how much NCL is tied into this scam, but avoid both traps. Best kept secret is free access to the SPA which allows you to enjoy the steam room & suana (not co-ed)and quiet tranquility...also the GYM is also a plus.Finally...avoid the pay resturants...the free resturants are just as good and you will save money.
