Traveled with children

We traveled 7/31-8/7/2010 on the Golden Princess to Juneau, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, Ketchikan and Victoria, Canada. My husband and I took our 3 kids ages 6, 4 and 1 year and my parents. There is one review here where the guy had the same rooms as we did and I would echo his comments about the rooms. They were over the top luxurious. Bring your own hair products, though. Not sure what the Penthouses cost since we got an upgrade from a minisuite on Dolphin deck. The upgrade to larger rooms was a good thing for us since we had a bulky crib and my mom is really picky about accommodations. I really needed her to have a good time so she could help watch the kids so my husband and I could go out once in a while alone! The kids club "Princess Pelicans" usually uses the upper deck as well but it was too cold so they were kind of crammed into a few small rooms but they didn't seem to mind and had a great time. They put on a talent show that was so cute. Sabatini's was to die for, main dining was much appreciated, buffet area was nice with big windows. As the reviewer before me who stayed in my exact room said, the coffee was kind of gross in the buffet but good anywhere else. The glaciers were unbelievable and the naturalist was interesting. I had a lot of fun on this trip and so did the our whole group. Embarkation and disembarkation were well organized. We did not see any entertainment except for the musicians in the lobby piazza and my kids would always stop and dance.

Cabin Review

Cabin PH

The suites on the new deck 15 are just what my mom likes! I had S710 and she had S712 and my husband had S708. The balcony was huge, the bathrooms went on and on. The whole suite is new so it did not smell like smoke or other odors. There are mirrors everywhere. We were totally spoiled, it felt like an apartment.
