My mum and i went on Navigator of the Seas on 25 July sailing. This was my 3rd cruise and my mums 2nd cruise. Previously we have both sailed with Princess on the Crown Princess and i have sailed on Ocean Village 2. We had never sailed with Royal Caribbean before and were really looking forward to seeing what they were like in comparison with Princess and we were not disappointed!

Before the cruise we stayed in Rome for 2 nights at H10 Roma Citta which i highly recommend. It is a stunning hotel with a fantastic service. I have been to Rome before but this was my mums first time in Rome so we seen Vatican city, the colosseum, the trevi fountain and Spanish steps which were all excellent. We would have went to see more but it was 41oC outside and it was very difficult to walk about in but we still loved it.

At embarkation when we walked in the terminal was very crowded but we were very impressed at how quickly they managed to get us on the ship. There was a long Que but it went down very very quickly. We only spent about half an hour in the terminal. When we got on the ship we went straight to our cabin to drop off our hand luggage. We were a little apprehensive about the inside cabin as we had only ever had a balcony cabin or a junior suite before but we decided to give an inside cabin a try to see if the cruise was as enjoyable in an inside cabin as it is in one with a balcony. We were not disappointed. The inside cabin was actually a lot bigger than we thought it would be and even had room for a couch. We didn't spend much time in our cabin and the cruise was just as good as if we had a balcony cabin so we will definitely go in an inside cabin again. The price difference means we will be able to cruise more often.
