On October 12, 2004, we embarked on a cruise aboard the Norwegian Star. The ship was to sail the Mexican Riviera, stopping at Acapulco, Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo San Lucas. The voyage, our honeymoon, cost approximately $3000.
We were told that when we arrived in Los Angeles Airport a Norwegian representative would greet us. We located our luggage and waited to locate the representative. We finally saw other guests that had the Norwegian luggage tags similar to ours so we followed them. The Norwegian representative sat in the corner of the airport, waiting for the bus. The only Norwegian identification the representative had was a small button stuck to her lapel. We waited in the airport for approximately half an hour for the bus that would take us to the port.
We, along with several other guests, boarded the bus and headed to the port. At the port, we were made to wait forty-five minutes to get off of the bus. We were told that there weren't enough "baggage handlers" to accommodate all of the incoming arrivals. Several other buses were allowed to enter as we sat and waited.
