My husband and I just returned from our first cruise ever. We were on the Celebrity Infinity July 23-30th -7 night Alaska Tracy Arm Fjord. We picked the greatest first cruise! Great ship, beautiful scenery and fun ports!
It was a wonderful and memorable way to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Let's just say everything was beyond our expectations. The weather was clear, warm and sunny from the day we left port in Seattle until the last day in Victoria. The scenery was pristine and beautiful. The Tracy Arm Fjord and Sawyer Glacier were breathtaking. We saw wildlife including, bears, whales, seals, and bald eagles. The crew told us the weather had been cold, cloudy and rain on the prior cruises and we were extremely lucky to have such clear and warm weather.
The ports were wonderful and there is so much to do. We did a Glacier/whale watching excursion in Juneau, walked around ourselves in Ketchikan and rented a car from Avis and drove the Klondike Hwy to Carcross in Skagway. I highly recommend renting a car($120) and doing this drive, using the Murray's Guide. We saw black bears, lakes, waterfalls, eagles and beautiful snow capped mountains along the highway and you can stop along the way to take photos. Bring some food along as there is nowhere to eat!
Cabin 8054- Great views from balcony, clean room, close to elevators, lots of storage.
