This was the first timw we went on a cruise and we were a little apprehensive to say the least. Normally we don't like being part of a big crowd but we were persuaded to give it a try by some friends who thought we would love it. What a trip! This was without doubt the best family holiday we have been on. We chose NCL specifically because of the "freestyle" concept, which allowed us to eat whenever we chose and also so we didn't have to be part of a communal table.
The food and service was fantastic, and the kids absolutely loved all the activities. The best part was that it actually allowed my wife and I to enjoy some quality time together which is normally absent from our family holidays. We ended up eating alone for 4 nights as the kids were keen to go the kids club and play with numerous new friends they had made.
The cabin was more than adequate and our steward went out of his way to make sure we were happy with everything. We hardly spent any time in the cabin except to sleep and change clothes!
