Having cruised previously our expectations were high of Royal Carribean . Embarkation was like a day at the January sales hectic to say the least approx 1 hour & once on the ship we were looking for the nearest bar for a cool drink [ aquarious deck 4]where I was promptly charged over $100 for four soft drinks ! I spotted the mistake the grumpy bar tender had charged me for 52 cokes not 2 this was in the first ten mins of being on board . It took 2 days chasing customer services to remove the charges from my account ! There was a repeated incident later in the week where I had been charged four times for the same item & once again it took 2 days chasing customer services to remove these charges I'm on holiday for heavens sake ! Beware Some of the staff were surprisingly grumpy taking into account they are the 'face' of the ship its not nice when you have paid a lot of money to be there . I think its fair to say 80% of our fellow cruisers were Spanish who speak amongst themselves at volume level 9 & have never heard of forming a line or keeping quiet while watching a show you have been warned . Smoking areas .Passengers were smoking on all the outside decks & in two of the bars [ dog and duck & Schooner ] which made them no go areas if you dont smoke .Its a great shame there should have been one area outside designated for smokers & once again I paid money to be able to go in these bars .
Speaking of bars I dont think they know how much to charge for drinks - a complete rip off .
I don't think I had a hot meal all week in either the Windjammer or Mozart dining room - just warm .
Inside staterooms are very good & could not fault - spacious & clean toilet /shower area. Adequate storage space for all your needs .
