Ship Facts: Oasis of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Oasis of the Seas Deck Plans
Incrediable Ship Oasis , a few disappointing kinks
We went on the July 24th western caribbean. The ship is amazing the service was great as always however the air conditioning was awful. Ihave no doubt it is because of the open areas but if you get a balcony room be prepared for you AC to shut off when ever you go on the balcony. Also NO ONE told us if when you are in your room you turn off the master light switch you also turn off the AC so our first night was miserable. Our room attendent never told us or the other people with our group. Also there is no longer a Cigar Bar in the ship you have to go up to the 17th floor outside and it is so windy and hot you can't keep a cigar lit. My husband was so annoyed we booked our next cruise on Seranade out of Puerto Rico because they still have a Cigar Bar.

Our table in the dining room was right near the kitchen and it was so noisy but they did offer to move us but out waiter was terrific and we didn't want to lose him. Also I strongly suggest you schedule and book all shows ahead of time and if you eat at the 8:30 sitting book befoe dinner. We missed two shows because our dinner went beyond 1 1/2 hours and one 2 hours after.Take advantage of the smaller restaurants that offer breakfast the windjammer gets full very fast. There is a solarium restaurant by the adult pool that has a great healthy menu basically no bacon but it is warm even though it is indoors.

I was disappointed in the beds when put together ours and our friends both had humps. I also want to mention that the duty free shops on board are only that now infact I found cameras and perfume more expensive. I think now we can get better deals on the internet. They charge you to take pool/beach towels now $20 which is refunded when returned however make sure to check your room TV because ours were not refunded either days. The spa is beautiful and we did use the salon which was also very nice prices were very good in both. Giovanni's Family style Italian was great well worth the $10.00 for lunch it was amazing food and service there was 6 of us and for $60.00 we ate $300.00 worth of food. We had Chops for dinner there again for $25.00 a person each had $100 dinner.Great service and no rush for you to leave. We got the top wine package $400.00 12 bottles and I just added the cost if I bought them and it was $648. That was well worth it . 6 of us had two bottles every night and in chops we bought some. When getting off the ship grab a porter ($2 a bag) well worth not having to wait in a very long line. we went right through and our friends waited 35 min in line our porter took our bags to our car in the parking lot.At the pool seats were not hard to find and everyone who was holding chairs if no one was there we used them.

We were disappointed on Labadee they shut the zipline down because of the wind and also on line it says up to 250lbs not true 180lbs was the cut off. My sons loved the rollercoaster also when you want yto go to the beach stay to your far right the other beachs had alot of rocks to much to go in even with watershoes. We went deep sea fishing in cozemel with a fantastic american caption on a 55ft yacht $500 for 4 hours his name was Ronny boat Vamanos http://www.jpemex.com/VAMONOS.html Thank you Sandi Teller
