OVERALL: We had a great time on the Norwegian Star. The best aspect of the ship was its crew. Everyone, from the housekeeping to wait staff were very friendly and helpful. They made our stay very enjoyable. The ship is lovely, and looks clean and new.

EMBARKATION/DEBARKATION: Let me warn you that your vacation will start off very tiring and end tiring as the embarkation and debarkation processes are far from smooth. It took us about 2 hours from the time we got dropped off at the port in L.A., to waiting in a few lines, to the point where we actually got into our cabin on the ship. As for debarking, we got off the ship close to an hour later than they told us we would be able to get off. You would think they would have come up with a better system by now.

CABIN: Our cabin was originally supposed to be an H - porthole on Deck 4, but we got upgraded to G (obstructed view picture window) on Deck 8 and were really glad we did. All the action on the ship is between decks 6 and 12, so if you can get your cabin somewhere in between there it will make things a lot more convenient for you. The cabin was in really good shape with beautiful wood cabinets, a nice little TV, and a really nice modern bathroom. The only thing we thought was outdated were the bedspreads.
