This was a first cruise for my daughter and myself so we weren't sure what to expect. We found the Golden Princess to be a great boat, the crew was friendly and helpful and Alaska was amazing! I took over 400 pictures!

We arrived in Seattle a day early to take in the sites. We stayed at the Travelodge near the Space Needle. I would highly recommend this area. We walked about 3 blocks to the Space Needle and then took the monorail to about 3 blocks from Pike's Place Market. Travelodge provided a van to the pier for about $7 per person. Seattle is a very friendly city and I wish we had more time there.

The process of getting onto the boat (around 1:00) was very organized and took about 45 minutes. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. We were directed to our cabin and found it easily. Our cabin steward, Allen, was fabulous! He answered our many questions and provided us with a lot of helpful information. He took care of all our needs. We were in a mini-suite with a balcony (the balcony is a must in Alaska!). I stayed with my two adult sisters who slept in the twin beds, I slept on the pull out couch and my teenage daughter slept on the upper birth. When the pull out couch was open, space was very tight but when it was not there was plenty of room in the cabin. The bathroom and closet were larger than I expected and we had enough room for the the 4 of us to store our belongings.

Cabin Review

Cabin AD

Great cabin, balcony was covered, private and quiet. Large bathroom and closet, plenty of drawers and shelves to store belongings. 4 of us stayed in this cabin. My two sisters on the twin beds, I slept on the pull out couch and my teenage daughter slept on the upper birth. We had plenty of room for all our belongings. The cabin is at the back of the ship and we could hear the ship's engines. We were also over one of the theaters and if we went to bed early we could hear the late show. It did not bother me but it might bother a light sleeper. Ear plugs should be considered. The cabin is also a rather long walk from the elevators but with all the good food we ate, walking was a good thing!!
