Just returned 10/20 from a cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line's Star to the Mexican Riviera. This was our third cruise and we had a FANTASTIC time. As on all vacations, there were a few things I might have liked to have happen differently, but I have no hesitations recommending this cruise to others

Pros on the ship: VERY friendly, service-oriented staff. NCL must do a great job training their staff. Great entertainment: Bud Andersen, comedian, and Shawn Farquahar, magician, as well as a dance company and others. Entertainers mingled well with the crowd. Shawn spent some personal time with my eight year old teaching him card tricks. He made quite an impression! Food was very good at main restaurants and fantastic at specialty restaurants. We liked the Endless Summer restaurant's TexMex cuisine the best! Nice clean, modern, luxurious ship. Beautiful cherry wood cabin. Plenty of activities - too many to name here! Great kids program and especially the kids pool area. Our eight year-old loved the program's "martian pit" and the pirate party. He hooked up with some kids in the pool area too and would have spent every waking second there if we let him. Outstanding gym and spa. Enjoyed the open air stretching classes every AM Loved the freestyle cruising concept! Having a choice in when and where we wanted to eat was great for us.

Cons on the ship: Main buffet area was jammed all the time because so much space has been dedicated to dining options, they had to put some main throughways through the buffet area.
