A friend and I went on the Golden 10/3/04 sailing to Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten and St. Thomas. I would go back on the ship in a heartbeat, it was the best cruise I have experienced so far.

Our flight down to San Juan was smooth, our transfer through Princess was not. This was the only thing I would have done differently, it is worth the extra few bucks to take a cab. We waited for the 13 people total in our group and headed outside. The Princess Representative could not find our bus (she said the Carnival people stole it) and it took a while to get another one. Then, we made two other stops to pick people up from different parts of the airport, and waited 30 min until we finally left. Turns out all of Puerto Rico was waiting for Tito to come back from New York (his big fight) and traffic was at a standstill. Our driver was able to go around the traffic and get us to the ship relatively quickly. Our flight landed at 12:45, we got to the ship at 2:20 or so.

Once we got there checking in was a breeze, and we headed straight up to our room. We had an inside on the front starboard side of the Baja deck, which was great. Good location- close to everything on the ship.
