We sailed the Enchantment of The Seas on her 5-night Western Caribbean track, October 11-16, 2004. We are Dan & Cheryl, 24 & 26 years old respectively, and this was our 4th cruise together. (Dan has previously sailed Celebrity's Horizon & Century, and since we got married 2 years ago we have sailed Royal Caribbean's Majesty, Empress, and now Enchantment, and HAL's Zuiderdam). We were cruising as part of a group of 14 people—family members from both sides, as well as friends. Our group ranged in age from a small child, to Dan's grandparents.
Our first impression of the Enchantment of the Seas was how elegant she is. We entered the ship into the Centrum, which with its multiple stories and beautiful staircases and columns was quite beautiful and breathtaking—it definitely let us know we had finally made it and were now on a cruise ship again!
The My Fair Lady dining room is truly a sight to behold—do not miss standing at the top of the staircase and looking down toward the lower floor and the back area of the room where the piano is. This was without a doubt the prettiest dining room either of us had been in to date. We sat on the top floor, right near the entrance, at tables 5 and 7. Unfortunately, due to the size of our group, Royal Caribbean was not able to seat us all together, and they had broken the 14 of us out into two tables—one seating 8 people, the other seating 6. Fortunately, however, our 2 tables had the same waiter/assistant waiter/head waiter, so we were able to simply swap around throughout the week so that everyone had a chance to sit with everyone else.
