Embark was easiest yet, disembark was the usual wait. Overall, average to above average.
We sailed as a couple with our youngest of five who is 16. No problems on her end. She did not participate in the youth activities as she is more mature than most and enjoyed the pool and sun when not in port.
Food was good, we skipped 3 nights in the dining room because we felt we had better food on the Lido. Nick and Nora's Steak House on the last night was the best service and food of the trip.
The 3 ports of call were very good with Half Moon Cay being the absolute best of them all. Grand Turk is more like visiting a 3rd world country in some of its areas. Nassau is like a tourist trap.
Stateroom service was great. Very hard working, clean staff. Cruise Director was very funny and did a great job overall. Thought that they could do a better job with the comedians as both were a little flat. Yeah, both of you if you read this. Very nice but not at the level that I enjoy.
The shows were fantastic, dancers outstanding, super-tight and professional band.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT
*Smoking areas too abundant. Especially the casino. For this reason alone I will not return to the Miracle. Lack of enforcement. Always stumbling over cigarette butts. I would have spent a lot more tim and money in the casino but at night it was like a party with 100% smoking areas packed with people not actually betting.
*The kids were out of control, most unsupervised by the crew and parents. Screaming, fighting, running in all areas of the ship. Kids sitting at the bars, in the adult pool. Kids disrespectful, mouthy, arrogant in many instances. Simply not enough enforcement from the ship's crew. I have been on Disney cruises with 4 teenage daughters and never had this problem.
*Last cruise for us out of NYC. We love the City and frequent Manhattan but the attitude of many of the guests did not compliment any of the 5 Boroughs or NJ. Just too high of a percentage of loud, whiny, inconsiderate people. Other passengers should not have to listen to the screaming and yelling and use of walkie talkies during shows and in dining areas. Yeah, the accent is a give-a-way. Again, have departed from other ports without ever having this problem.
We cannot let this detract from the fact that the cruise ship crew did an outstanding job. The cleanliness and demeanor of the crew was great.
