Intro- My wife's entire family and I just returned from a week on the Solstice. Eighteen of us in all. Ages ranged from a 1 1/2 year old to fifty somethings. Most were new to cruises and a bit leery. Not anymore!

Embarkation- As mentioned by many others, Celebrity has the embarkation process down to a science. Even though we were in Aqua Class and had priority, the time savings was not that great. Aqua Class does however have other advantages which I will expound upon later. All our staterooms were ready by 12:30PM which is an amazing feat considering the ship had just docked that morning.

Public Rooms- I can not add much other than to say, the entire ship exudes class, just like the finest hotels and not like an over the top flashy designer. Comfortable and stylish! Art and music are alive on all decks most of the time which makes for a lively atmosphere.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 1

Cabin A1

Disappointed with the Hansgrove shower jets. Was expecting a much more vigorous and stimulating shower experience. In #1585 we were awoken each morning to the sounds of the pool chairs being laid out. Very annoying. Also having to continually ask for ice when it was obvious with empty wine chiller and ice bucket. Should be filled each time the room is cleaned. With an upcharge to Aqua Class we should get better service
