We packed up our 2 children and drove 1000 miles to Tampa and arrived about 2pm, we dropped off the luggage and parked in the garage across the street. This was very organized and went by very quickly. Unfortunately we arrive during a peak time and the line was extremely long. I blame myself for the hour we were in line because of our tardiness. One thing we noticed in line was a lot of people had cases of soda in their arms, something we should have done. Once we got to the clerk we were quickly processed and on the ship. We went to our room, and a first in all of our cruises, the room was not made from the previous guest! We saw our steward and she said she wasn't told the room was to be made for 4 people, I don't know if this was a valid excuse for a messy room. We went to lunch and when we came back the room was clean. Room: We had an 8th floor room with an extended balcony. It was a room that fit our needs and the balcony was the biggest of all of our cruises. One problem was that the room was directly below the Lido deck and there is some noise from chairs moving and people walking back and forth (who knew so many people wore high heels and tap shoes on a cruise ;) It really wasn't that bad, but we did hear the noises. In the future we will request a lower floor. The room had a safe, refrigerator, a TV and 3 beds (one came out of the ceiling and one was the sofa). On the Disney cruise the ceiling bed was put up and the sofa bed was folded during the day and made every night after dinner. I think the room would have appeared a lot bigger if this was done.

Food.: We had the 6pm dinner service. I have read many reviews about the food, but I thought the food was very good. The first night the beverage waiter asked for our order and we got soda.... They never came back the rest of the week to ask what we wanted. The buffets had a variety of foods. Since we had kids, we ate at the pool buffet; they had hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken sandwiches, French fries and tortilla chips.

Entertainment: We loved the karaoke, trivia, Sudoku and Liars club. My wife did Bingo and didn't win (its $20 for 3 cards). I went to the casino and it is very large, with all the games of a regular casino and a lot of slots.

Cabin Review

Extended Balcony

Cabin 8J

The cabin is below the Lido deck and you can hear people walking and chairs moving. The balcony is wonderful, there is a large overhang so you don't get wet when it rains. There is a refrigerator, TV and safe in the room and it also has a 3rd bed that is above the sofa.
