Who would have guessed Disney would be going to Russia this summer with 4 sailings of 12 days, seeing 6 Countries, plus London and our departure town of Dover? Sent an inquiry to family members, and consensus was quickly decided that we need to jump on this ship with their good pricing incentives. With less than 45 days to get our US passport renewed (must be valid 6 months after Russia entry), then get our letter of invitation, & Russian Visa. We hustled and could finally breathe when we received our Russian Visa 10 days after application. We were ready in plenty of time.

Ultimately, we very much enjoyed this first Disney cruise. I personally felt that the Public Areas were somewhat outdated, and it was amusing the the 'Artwork' all over the ship, were Posters of vintage movies, photos of Walt, or other Disney features, which where probably produced (by Disney) for very little. Yet, our room was very comfortable, the food good, and the service was excellent. I found all staff friendly, but none were over the top 'Goofy' to meet you. It's still a job, which they do very well. We are actually looking into the Sept. Med & Transatlantic cruises, since they again seem to be so well priced. Maybe. It was a great cruise to bring our kids, young & older.

We began our England portion, giving ourselves 6 days extra by arriving LHR and spending a couple days to see Windsor & London, then a couple days in the Cotswolds staying at a B&B, which was one of our highlights. (Whalley Farms, Whittingham, Cheltenham, Glou.) Rented a Avis for this portion, with a drop in Dover, and we were glad to have an automatic & GPS, for we might never have found the Avis drop Office, at the ferry docks.

Cabin Review

We had a Outside Deluxe, with Two Bathrooms...or one room with sink & toilet, and other room with sink & shower/tub. Initially loved the two options, but after a week, it was 'oops' my toothbrush is in the other 'room', so I'd have to pop out, and into the other WC for something or another. Room was very large, and nicely appointed.
