The Fascination is a great ship. We have been on larger Carnival ships and enjoyed them, but the Fascination's size is just right. It's small, but easy to find your way around.

FOOD

Excellent food, both in the MDR (we were in Sensation MDR) and on Lido. The food at the pool grille on Lido was really good (hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders), but there is only one line, so the wait is long. In the MDR, the prime rib was the best I have ever had, warm chocolate melting cake was always good, flat iron steak was wonderful, and the bitter and blanc dessert on elegant night was fabulous. Salads were always fresh and good.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

We were on the Verandah deck, V15. Carnival sells this as a suite, but that's a stretch. We have had suites before, and this was definitely a balcony room with a "suite" category. The balcony was very small, only the width of the chair facing forward. And, the balconies on Verandah are set in, so that you are open to the deck below. Noise was not an issue, Verandah deck is very quiet because there are so few cabins. The cabin itself was very clean and quiet, but smaller than we are used to for a suite. We would book it again for short cruises, but nothing longer than a 4 day.
