This was our first experience of cruising and we really enjoyed it. Overall, our experience of most aspects of the cruise was positive. Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly - we were in our stateroom within an hour of arriving at the terminal and were sitting down to lunch fifteen minutes later. The stateroom itself was spacious and comfortable and the view from our balcony on deck 14 was terrific. The facilities throughout the ship are first class - the only difficulty we encountered was some delays with the elevators.

The standards of service (housekeeping, bars, restaurants, etc) were of a consistently high quality, with friendly, multi-lingual staff. A particular word of thanks to Omar and Jairo, who looked after us very well on all our visits to the L'Edera restaurant. Food was good, with varied menus.

We took the excursions to Ephesus and Istanbul. While we felt they were quite expensive, they were well organised and provided a good opportunity to get a quick taste of these destinations.
