30 Years ago my boyfriend (now husband) and I visited Bermuda and loved it. We remembered the pink sand beaches, turquoise waters, and renting scooters to get around the Island. We were shocked at how different Bermuda is now, no more pink sand, the beach water is not turquoise, and the charm that once existed is now replaced with touristy souvenir shops. In my opinion, there is no reason to go to Bermuda, there are so many other more interesting, beautiful places in the world.

What was relaxing and beautiful was our NCL cruise to Bermuda. We had a mini-suite which exceeded our expectations. It was roomy, had a great balcony, a bathtub, and was on the 11th deck near everything. This was my 4th NCL cruise, and I love NCL cruises because they are freestyle, a lot of fun, and the people who work for NCL are all nice and service oriented. Unlike other people who have written reviews for this ship, we tried two of the specialty restaurants and thought they were not worth the money. We ate in the Steakhouse (Cagney's) which everyone raves about, but we didn't think it was that special or the food particularly worth the extra $25.00 per person. Likewise, we had the sushi one night ($15.00 extra) and thought the sushi was awful. We did go to all of the shows and thought that the entertainment was terrific and high quality.

We did have problems with our travel agency. We were supposed to get a $100.00 on board credit and NCL had no record of it from the Agency. My advice, double check if you are supposed to get any credit or amenity as NCL said it was my responsibility to deal with the Agency after the cruise. I have not heard back from customer service, but have been told that the Agency processed a credit which I have not received. This has been most upsetting, as the agency has not responded to my e-mails.
