Sail Date: Jun 2010
Cabin: Promenade Stateroom

My brother and I spent 3 nights aboard Independence of the Seas at the beginning of June 2010. We had a promenade cabin which was on deck 7 close to the middle of the ship. The cabin was a bit short on drawer space - plenty for 3 nights but not so sure it would be enough if you were on the ship for 2 weeks or more.

We were amazed at the size of the ship, but also how easy it was to get around. I think I only got lost once!! The Promenade is just amazing - one early evening we were sat outside the pub and it was difficult to believe we were actually on a ship. There is even a "Morgan" sports car parked on the promenade!

Embarkation and disembarkation were both painless and quick. The service was excellent - all the staff around the ship were very pleasant and efficient. The food was extremely good. We ate in the Windjammer self-service for breakfast and lunch and one of the main restaurants for dinner. We didn't try the speciality restaurants because we just didn't have time.

Promenade Stateroom

Cabin PR

Slightly disappointing. Lack of drawer space - plenty for a 3 night break but not sure there would be enough drawers if you were on a 2 week or longer cruise. Excellent shower.
